Description
WCGA has the objective to act as a forum for technical presentations of ongoing research and relevant activities in the areas of Grid Infrastructure, Services and Applications, getting together researchers and professionals actively working in these areas. The workshop also intends to form multi-institutional collaborative networks, groups with technical and scientific competence, and the strengthening of ongoing activities.
The fourth edition of WCGA (2006) was the first one held in conjunction with SBRC -- in 2003, 2004, and 2005 it happened as a standalone event at LNCC (Petrópolis - RJ). WCGA has generated substantial interest in the community and we expect that this interest will continue. For this fifth edition, researchers are particularly encouraged to submit original work in topics related with network and middleware support for Grids, and network-demanding Grid applications. More specifically, the topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Grid Infrastructure;
- Grid Middleware and Services;
- Grid Portals;
- Grid Support for Cyberinfrastructures;
- Grid Economy Models;
- Grid Tools and Demonstrations;
- Network-Level Support for Grid Computing
- Web Services for Grid computing;
- Peer-to-Peer Protocols for Grid Computing;
- Performance Evaluation and Modeling for Grid Computing;
- Dependability in Grid Computing;
- QoS Provisioning in Grid Computing;
- Resource Management and Scheduling in Grid Computing;
- Security in Grid Computing;
- Virtualization in Grid Computing;
- Network-Demanding Grid Applications, Communities and Testbeds;
- Wireless, Mobile and Sensor Grids.
